The international jury recognized the compact combi oven for its successful combination of intelligent technology, high functionality, and clean, clear design—tailored for small, high-demand professional kitchens. Once again, the mini pro proves it's the smallest and smartest combi oven with outstanding product design, living up to its name: "King of Compact."

The Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the most prestigious design competitions worldwide. Since 1955, it has honored products that stand out for exceptional design quality. The Convotherm mini pro impressed in a strong field of competitors: the 43-member jury from 21 countries evaluated entries from over 60 nations based on the four core principles of good design—function, allure, usability, and responsibility.

Compact, Intelligent, and Clearly Structured

The jury stated:

Markus Hillemann of Hillemann Design, responsible for the mini pro design, added:

"Our goal was to match the high technical standards of the mini pro with a form language that is equally clear and refined. The design is deliberately understated, robust, and uncluttered—with clearly defined user zones that provide intuitive orientation without overwhelming. This allows the unit to blend seamlessly into a wide range of kitchen environments while maintaining its own unique presence."

Designed for Demanding Small Kitchens

The Convotherm mini pro was developed to meet the demands of compact professional kitchens. It features a sleek design and can be seamlessly built into kitchen layouts, making it adaptable for diverse space concepts. The stainless steel and glass exterior reflects durability and hygiene, while its clearly structured controls ensure intuitive use.

A standout feature: all functions are touch-free or sensor based, with the exception of the antibacterial handle which is the only element that requires hand contact.

AI-driven innovations such as optical product recognition (Optical Cooking), sensor-controlled cooking processes, and an auto-dosing cleaning system reduce staff workload and improve kitchen efficiency.
