Convotherm Receives 2024 Energy Star Partner Of The Year Sustained Excellence Award
Eglfing, Germany - With its energy-efficient kitchen technology, international kitchen technology manufacturer Convotherm succeeds in being recognized as an ENERGY STAR partner for the 15th time in a row. Both the award and the EcoGastro label, with which the Convotherm maxx pro series appliances are certified, affirm the Convotherm brand's successful sustainability strategy.
The globally renowned ENERGY STAR program certifies, amongst other things, that electrical appliances meet the electricity-saving criteria of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy. As an ENERGY STAR partner, Convotherm offers sustainable products that simultaneously reduce costs and carbon footprint.
"Our continued partnership with ENERGY STAR reinforces our sustainable approach to providing energy-efficient solutions for the foodservice industry, reducing energy consumption and operating economically," said Hans-Werner Schmidt, Managing Director of Welbilt Deutschland GmbH and Vice President of Central and Eastern Europe at Welbilt.
Each year, the ENERGY STAR program recognizes a select group of companies and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the clean energy economy. ENERGY STAR awardees are leaders in their industries in the manufacture, sale and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services and policies. These efforts are critical to combating climate crisis, protecting health and creating a clean energy future for all.
Convotherm impresses with ENERGY STAR-certified combi ovens and EcoGastro label
The Convotherm maxx pro scores highly in terms of energy consumption. Thanks to its controlled, self-regulating cooking chambers, the optimum amount of water and energy is used to generate the perfect climate in the cooking chamber. The unique closed system with Natural Smart Climate™ regulates temperature, humidity, airflow and time, ensuring the appropriate humidity level for all foods.
The maxx pro series appliances have also received certification from EcoGastro (Switzerland). EcoGastro certifies commercial kitchen equipment that has technical provisions proven to reduce energy consumption, compared to other equipment on the market.
"At Welbilt, we agree that our contribution to a green future has never been more important. But we also realize that we all need to work together to address the climate crisis. We want to do everything we can for a more sustainable future. That's why we are putting our efforts into developing energy-efficient kitchen technologies," concludes Hans-Werner Schmidt.
