This hotel’s world-class food offer strongly enhances the luxury experience of the hotel spa break. The Convotherm maxx is at the heart of South Lodge Hotel’s  Michelin star restaurant. It is also the combi oven of choice sister hotels in the ‘Exclusive’ hotel range. 

South Lodge is a luxury hotel and spa located within a large country estate in the UK. Food is an integral part of the guest experience. In addition to a Michelin Star restaurant, Ben Wilkinson at The Pass, there are two other restaurants.

The Convotherm maxx is located in the kitchens of Restaurant The Pass but is in service from dawn to dark, servicing other parts of he hotel too. Clear proof of its flexibility!

The BakePro feature is particularly useful for breakfast preperation, used early morning to prepare freshly baked pastries and breads for hotel guests. Quantity and reliable consistency are what counts most here.

In the evenings, the food quality of the maxx is put to the test, preparing the gourmet tasting menus for the 28 discerning guests of the Michelin Star restaurant.

Precision cooking is key. The Chefs rate highly the oven’s responsiveness, both in terms of switching from high to low temperatures, or from steam to convection.

“With Convotherm you can get the temperature to within on centigrade. If you switch if from steam to convection it's really responsive, like no oven I've ever used. Some carrots steam sous vide so they retain all the flavour. That's what Convotherm is really good for. You can really set the temperatures.”
