Convotherm launches new design line with the mini black combi oven August 29, 2018

Convotherm, a global Welbilt brand, will be launching the new mini black at Stand 330, Hall A3 at the iba Munich trade fair from 15 to 20 September 2018. Designed with a black exterior and control panel, extra-large observation window and a small footprint, the combi oven is ideal for front-of-house use for convenience food business: “The matt surface of the compact combi oven gives it a clean and elegant look, and it’s perfect for serving area at petrol stations, bakeries, snack bars, coffee shops, cafés and much more”, says Arndt Manter, Director of Product Management at Convotherm. The mini black also features a clever interior design, with a large cooking chamber providing plenty of space for efficient cooking and baking. Long-standing partnership: Convotherm has supported the Bocuse d’Or cooking competition for 20 years May 15, 2018

This year it will take place on 11 and 12 June: At the Bocuse d’Or Europe, twenty teams from different nations will compete against one another in Turin to convince an expert jury of gourmet chefs of their culinary skills. Candidates’ performance will be assessed in terms of creativity, visual presentation and taste in order to determine the ten best teams from Europe. This year Convotherm is once again a main sponsor of the Bocuse d’Or and will support participants in the European preliminaries and the finals with pioneering technology in the competition kitchens. The winners of the European preliminaries will compete against finalists from Asia and the Americas in the grand finale, which takes place in Lyon at the Sirha trade fair. The Bocuse d’Or European qualifying round is being held in southern Europe for the first time, in the context of the Gourmet Expoforum.

Eglfing, Germany. The Convotherm team has launched a new video series to support its customer base. More than 52 ‘how-to’ videos have been released on Convotherm’s website and their YouTube channel. The videos offer current and future Convotherm customers ideas and tips on how to use combi steamers most efficiently. They will not only learn about the operating basics, but also about how to master more sophisticated dishes, such as turkey, prime rib or dim sum. The latest episodes introduce the new Convotherm mini easyTouch and its built-in easyStart function (automatic cooking and baking using product suggestions).
