Convotherm expands maxx product family with high-performance floor-standing models
Eglfing, Germany (13 March 2026) – Convotherm, a brand of Welbilt and a proud member of the Ali Group, is presenting the new Convotherm maxx floor-standing models for the first time at INTERNORGA 2026. With this expansion of the maxx product family, Convotherm now offers combi ovens with large capacities in the entry-level segment, designed for professional kitchens where large volumes of food must be produced reliably and economically every day.
The new maxx floor-standing models are specifically aimed at operations in institutional catering, the care sector, and the hotel industry. Wherever consistent quality is required alongside high production volumes, they create additional flexibility in daily kitchen operations. The significantly larger cooking chamber allows substantially more dishes to be prepared simultaneously compared to table top units with the same footprint. For example, the unit (model 20.10) can produce 40 kilograms of vegetables in around twelve minutes or approximately 20 kilograms of French fries in 18 minutes.
For businesses with highly fluctuating guest numbers or clearly defined peak service times, this provides greater planning reliability: more output within the same space, clearly calculable processes, and noticeable relief during tight production windows.
In daily use, professional chefs benefit from a familiar and consistent user interface within the Convotherm ecosystem. Kitchen teams can work without additional training, keeping processes consistent and repeatable. At the same time, the combination of manual and automatic operating modes ensures flexibility—from standardized production processes to individual cooking profiles. The fully automatic cleaning system supports an efficient end to the working day and contributes to process reliability. In addition, the unit can be connected with other kitchen equipment via KitchenConnect through Wi-Fi or LAN.
When it comes to cost efficiency and sustainability, Convotherm remains true to its values. The floor-standing units combine resource-efficient use of energy and water with robust construction, durable components, and long-term availability of spare-parts. This supports kitchen concepts focused on efficiency and long-term reliability.
“With the new maxx floor-standing models, we are expanding our product family with powerful units designed for kitchens with high production requirements. They offer exactly the mix of capacity, cost efficiency, and proven Convotherm quality that many operations are looking for,” says Arndt Manter, Director Product Management Convotherm at Convotherm.
With their premiere at INTERNORGA 2026, Convotherm highlights its ambition to support professional kitchens with practical, high-performance solutions—from compact units to large-volume production.
