CONVOTHERM OPENS ITS DOORS IN EGLFING TO MARK ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

Eglfing, Germany (16 June 2026) – this year Convotherm is celebrating its 50th anniversary and “50 Years of Culinary Precision.” To mark the occasion, Convotherm is inviting visitors to an Open Day at its headquarters in Eglfing, Germany on Saturday 4 July 2026, from 11.00am to 3.30pm.

For five decades, Convotherm has been developing professional combi ovens in Eglfing and is now recognised internationally as one of the leading manufacturers of modern kitchen technology. Through its Open Day, the company aims to offer visitors a behind-the-scenes look at its operations, while celebrating its strong connection to the local community.

“Fifty years of Convotherm stand for innovation, passion and, above all, the people who have shaped our company over the decades,” says Claus Pedersen, Managing Director of Convotherm. “On our Open Day, we are inviting our employees, their families, our partners and members of the local community to join us. We look forward to providing an insight into modern kitchen technology and showcasing our daily work.” Visitors can look forward to a varied programme for the whole family. Highlights include live music from entertainer Francesco Blue and culinary experiences hosted by celebrity chef Johann Lafer. Convotherm will also offer guided factory tours and present the company’s history through a display of historical posters. In addition, the Convotherm showroom will feature the latest equipment and technologies.

There will also be plenty of activities for children and families. Alongside a bouncy castle and other attractions, AirEmotion will provide a special experience for teenagers and adults who enjoy a thrill and are not afraid of heights! Visitors interested in career opportunities can learn more about apprenticeships and entry-level positions at Convotherm at the company’s trainee information stand.

Another programme highlight will focus on “Convotherm in Bloom”. Visitors will have the opportunity to extract honey from Convotherm’s own bee hives and learn more about the company’s sustainability initiatives.

The Open Day will take place on Saturday, 4 July 2026, from 11.00am to 3.30pm at Convotherm, Talstraße 35, 82436 Eglfing, Germany. Admission is free.
