PRESENTATION OF DONATION FOLLOWING CONVOTHERM OPEN DAY: SUPPORT OF €4,000 FOR THREE SOCIAL PROJECTS

Eglfing, Germany (6 August 2026)– Convotherm’s 50th anniversary Open Day in Eglfing was not just about innovation, bringing people together and giving behind-the-scenes insights into the company. Social engagement also played an important role: visitors donated a total of €1,000 to charitable organisations in the region. A further €1,000 from a previous employee fundraising campaign, together with additional contributions from  Convotherm, brought the total donation to an impressive €4,000. This amount was shared between Gmünder Hoffnung e. V., Elterninitiative Intern 3 – Dr. von Haunersches Kinderspital München e. V. and Grenzenlos e. V. for the Anna Schaffelhuber Grenzenlos Camps.

The first donation was presented to Gmünder Hoffnung e. V. on 18 July. Claus Pedersen, Convotherm’s Managing Director, and Andrea Sauer, Deputy Managing Director, presented a cheque for €2,000 to Frank Dittmann , one of Convotherm’s founders who has been actively involved with the organisation for many years.

The other two donations of €1,000 each were presented on 3 August. Andrea Sauer and Claus Pedersen presented them to Margarete Bader, Chairwoman of Elterninitiative Intern 3 – Dr. von Haunersches Kinderspital München e. V., and to Anna Schaffelhuber of Grenzenlos e. V. for the Anna Schaffelhuber Grenzenlos Camps.

“Above all our Open Day was a celebration of meeting and connecting with people from the region. We are delighted that our guests and employees took the opportunity to support such valuable social projects. Through Gmünder Hoffnung e. V., Elterninitiative Intern 3 – Dr. von Haunersches Kinderspital München e. V. and the Anna Schaffelhuber Grenzenlos Camps organised by Grenzenlos e. V., we are supporting three projects that are committed to helping people, particularly children and young people,” explains Claus Pedersen, Managing Director of Convotherm.

The fundraising campaign was part of the programme marking Convotherm’s 50th anniversary, under the motto “Convotherm – 50 Years of Culinary Precision”. Together with many guests on 4 July, the company celebrated its history and its strong connection to the region.
