Efficient cooking and preparation - Welbilt presents its innovative new products at INTERNORGA 2023
Germany - Eglfing / Herborn - INTERNORGA 2023 will take place in Hamburg on March 10, 2023, and the world's largest kitchen technology manufacturer Welbilt will be present once again, this year at Stand 212 in Hall B7, presenting revolutionary equipment for all areas of the catering industry. These include the Merrychef conneX® range, the most innovative generation of the quietest, fastest, and best-networked high-speed ovens, the latest Convotherm mini, the Convotherm maxx pro for the most demanding applications, and modern Delfield blast chillers. The new family of Convotherm maxx pro floor-standing appliances, designed for the catering industry and equipped with the smoking option, is also making its world debut at the Welbilt stand. The Multiplex Fresh Blender®, which prepares natural and fresh smoothies, shakes, frappés, and cold drinks in just a few seconds at the touch of a button, is also on display.
Cook 'n Chill's modern, coordinated equipment triad
Take-out, delivery, intelligent catering, and convenience concepts all require maximum efficiency. The Cook 'n Chill process, as well as the innovative technology designed for it, have proven their worth in this respect. Welbilt will demonstrate this at its INTERNORGA booth: Welbilt will present an equipment triad which, in conjunction with tailored innovative recipes, leads to stress-free and profitable operations, as well as to a successful delivery and takeaway business. This triad includes the Convotherm combi ovens for preparation, the Delfield blast chillers and blast freezers for cooling, and the high-speed ovens of the Merrychef conneX® series for regenerating food.
Premium combi ovens for forward-thinking kitchens
At INTERNORGA, the entire Convotherm maxx pro family will be on display for the first time at the Welbilt stand. Live cooking demonstrations using the maxx pro show how processes in professional kitchens can be intelligently optimized. The premium appliance here demonstrates its versatility and cutting-edge technology, which most recently wowed the Bocuse d'Or Champions in Lyon in January 2023. In Hamburg, the new Convotherm maxx pro floor-standing devices will be unveiled to the public for the first time. The new member of the maxx pro family is intended to handle large volumes. The units are robust and durable due to their sophisticated design, high-quality materials, and first-rate manufacturing quality. The built-in unit status floor lighting draws attention: it is a color indicator that can be seen from a distance and displays the current operating status. Another first is that all maxx pro combi ovens now include the optional ConvoSmoke smoking function. Interested parties can learn about cold and hot smoking with maxx pro at the Welbilt booth. All devices in the maxx pro family score high in terms of energy consumption.
The future of automated cooking and baking has begun with ConvoSense
Convotherm's innovative ConvoSense assistance system for combi ovens is leading the way in artificial intelligence. The maxx pro, for example, can recognize products and dishes independently and set the appropriate cooking program for them using AI-controlled technology. ConvoSense is also available at the Welbilt booth at INTERNORGA.
Large power in a small package
The new Convotherm mini is more user-friendly and reduces energy consumption on a small footprint, as well as providing optimal networking. The 51.5 cm wide compact all-rounder, combined with the high-speed oven Merrychef conneX®, is ideal for concepts where space is limited, and time is of the essence. Merrychef conneX® and Convotherm mini are ideal companions for modern delivery and takeaway concepts, with WiFi connectivity.
The conneX® is available in two appliance sizes at INTERNORGA 2023: the conneX®12, which has a 12” cooking space in a 14“ - wide housing, and the conneX®16, which is available in standard or high-performance versions. Both allow for the preparation of convenience snacks as well as full meals. The panini grill for the conneX®16, an important added value for snack concepts, will also be shown.
Always keep cool by using the proper refrigeration equipment
Live demonstrations of the multifunctional Delfield blast chillers and blast freezers are also available at the Welbilt booth. When it comes to HACCP-compliant cooling or freezing of medium or large food and convenience quantities, they are the ideal partners. The powerful chillers provide invaluable assistance in the preparation of gourmet convenience products, snacks, and even entire meals, which are regenerated and ready to serve as needed. Significant advantage in everyday use: The units are simple to use and adaptable in all areas of the out-of-home market, including restaurants, commercial kitchens, and bakeries. Their energy-saving consumption ensures economical use, which is an added bonus.
"Welbilt has been developing the right products and solutions for all sectors of the food service industry for over nine decades, always tailored to current challenges. At our INTERNORGA booth, we will display a selection of the most recent technologies and innovations. We will once again present new equipment at the leading trade fair for the out-of-home market in Hamburg, ranging from AI-assisted cooking to intelligent connectivity. Integrated functions and modern technology for profitable and energy-saving operation will help the catering industry succeed in the future" elaborates Hans-Werner Schmidt, Managing Director of Welbilt Deutschland GmbH.
