Convotherm supports non-profit Ukraine aid organization
Eglfing, Germany - The war in Ukraine continues unabated. People are suffering and infrastructures have in part completely collapsed. For the Welbilt brand Convotherm, this is reason enough to support two aid organizations that are working to help Ukraine.
Combi ovens for Ukraine
With generous donations in kind, Convotherm is supporting vital infrastructure in Ukraine. Through the non-profit organization INTEMI e. V. House of Cultures, the combi oven specialist is supplying professional kitchen equipment to hospital kitchens in Ukraine. Two Convotherm combi ovens, including accessories, hoods and materials with a total value of approximately 15,000 euros, were donated. This exemplary initiative was organized by the workforce. Together with other colleagues, Karl-Heinz Speyer, Kitchen Planner at Welbilt Germany for Convotherm, initiated, planned and managed the campaign and the delivery to Ukraine.
Convotherm employees support Ukraine aid
Another aid campaign among Convotherm employees culminated in the presentation of a check on 4 July . Staff collected 1,500 euros for the charitable organization "Solidarity Ukraine", run by married couple Myroslava and Felix Schlinke-Klubuk. The management immediately doubled the amount to 3,000 euros. The German-Ukrainian couple lived in Ukraine until shortly before the war began. After fleeing, they set up an aid organization in Weilheim, which organizes aid transport to the crisis areas of Ukraine, in cooperation with the municipality of Polling. In addition to urgently needed medical equipment and medicines, the young pediatrician and her husband organize shipments of food, sleeping bags, blankets, and protective equipment such as helmets and vests, as well as everything that is urgently needed in Ukraine.
"Soldiarity and cohesion are needed especially in times of crisis. I am very pleased that our employees in Eglfing are so committed and have launched their own initiatives to support Ukraine. It was of personal importance to the entire management team to support the two aid organizations monetarily and with generous in kind donations. I am sure that this will not be our last action in this direction," Reine Wasner, General Manager Convotherm at Welbilt, proudly states.
